Notes: Writer's Notes: I don't usually put notes with the stories, but this one needs a couple. First, an even bigger thanks than usual to Heather. She's helped me fight to get this thing finished for two years. And I'm sure I would have dropped it if she hadn't encouraged me and wanted to know how it ended. Second, this doesn't finish the Clay Kestrel series, (thanks to everyone who asks about that and still remembers him) but I needed to get this one finished before I could kill him off. Finally, work got in the way of finishing the second half of this. (I was so close!) I will have it finished by Thanksgiving at the latest. But this is nothing but a Halloween story, and wouldn't be worth posting any other time of year. I hope you enjoy it.
